Silver and Gold 'Jigsaw' Rings

This is the second pair of wedding rings that I have made in this type of two-piece design, although they still qualify as one-off items:  these ones are made in 9ct yellow gold and sterling silver and are set with 3mm white cubic zirconia and a single mid-blue sapphire.

I don't think that the choice of stones holds any particular meaning, but the symbolism of the interlocking rings is just so appropriate for a celebrating a marriage or (once again) a civil partnership.  Yes, these were for two more lovely-sounding ladies:  we spoke on the phone several times while refining the design, and I was disappointed not to be able to deliver the rings in person, (Glasgow is a bit of a long way out)

Still, the sentiments for a long and happy partnership are no less heartfelt and I wish you a joyous life together, ladies.
