I try to produce jewellery pieces that are, in their own way, miniature pieces of art - things of beauty. I think that the term 'studio jewellery' describes it best, though that is not a term used commonly.
Many of my pieces have their own story or meaning, so please take time to read the descriptions of them. I hope that appreciating how and why a piece was made will add to your enjoyment of it. On the other hand, if you just like to go "ooh, pretty", that's fine by me (well, I said this was 'irreverent'). |
Now some boring stuff for the search engines.... Hunt around and you will find rings, bangles, bracelets, necklaces, pendants, brooches, ear rings and studs, cufflinks (and other jewellery for men), and few bits of silversmithing work.
I work mainly in silver, but also use gold, copper, bronze and some wood. Silver sets really nicely on ebony, for example. Enamel work is a favourite of mine. Proper fired vitreous enamel, of course.
You will find pieces with precious stones like aquamarine, citrine, emeralds, garnets, sapphires, rubies. Semi-precious stones I have used include lapis lazuli, malachite, moonstone, agate and opal. And, from the sea, there are pearls, abalone and mother of pearl.
Try the search page, to look for something specific.
