SilverKiss Jewellery
An irreverent presentation of the jewellery made by Ian Addison

A Kiss on the Cheek

Picture
Ref: Rng 005

Sterling silver and pearl.

A one-off piece.  Size R
£76

One of my favourites.  This looks chunky at first, but it sits surprisingly comfortably on the finger.

The lovely soft white of the cup that the river pearl is set into is an unpolished layer of fine (ie nearly pure) silver, created by repeated heating and acid-etching the sterling silver underneath; a process known as depletion gilding.

The pearl is 5mm diameter and the top of the ring is 15mm across.  The ring is size R, but the width of the top means it will probably fit a finger half a size or so smaller.
