Lapis Arrow

Picture
Ref: Pdt 001

Sterling silver set with lapis lazuli.

 A one-off piece.  Hallmarked
£148

I couldn't resist buying this vibrant piece of lapis lazuli, but what to do with it?  Then I saw some of Brett Payne's stunningly graceful candlesticks and the inspiration was sown.

This is on a much smaller scale than his work but probably hammered out in much the same way.  The main body of this piece started as a 5mm square rod of silver.

The pendant is 8cm long, and the stone just over 2cm.  The snake chain is 56cm (22") long and passes through a hole in the thickest part of the pendant (so it can't be removed).

You can see the hallmarks on the front at the top.
