Made-to-order items will generally be ready for posting within 7 days.  There will be prominent announcements if I'm away or backlogged.

Made-to-order items that have to be hallmarked (this will be indicated on the item's page) can take significantly longer.  Please allow 4 weeks for these.

"Teardrops will kiss the morning dew"

Ear 3 - "teardrops will kiss the morning dew"

I have to confess that I don't particularly care for the songs that Alison Krauss sings that much, but I do have 4 of her albums.  How come?, you ask.  It's her voice: simply captivating.

I did a craft show at the local church last year and played some of her music.  To hear her beautiful clear voice rising up to the vaulted ceiling was simply magical.

One of the songs I played was "Teardrops will kiss the morning dew":  the inspiration for this piece.  (pieces?)

The enamel work is done in a technique called plique-a-jour (literally, glimpse of the day), so called because it formed in little windows cut through the silver.  When you wear these, the light will play through the enamel making it shine, just like it doesn't in the photograph (sometimes, my black colour scheme conspired against me).

The colours of the tear-drops progress from blue at the top, through turquoise and 'lawn' green to a dark green at the bottom.

The pendants are curved, like little short-handled spoons, so you can see the colours from much wider angles (and you will want to show them off, I promise)

They are approximately 50mm long and 20mm wide.
